College Entrance Exams

Most colleges and universities require or highly recommend taking a college entrance exam. The two exams that students can take are called the SAT and ACT.

PSAT

Registration

Test Prep

The PSAT/NMSQT is a preliminary SAT that also serves as the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship.

Find test prep help from the Khan Academy.  Khan Academy has partnered with SAT to provide FREE resources for students including full, actual SAT exams to practice with.  Students can link their SAT account with Khan Academy to further their practice. Here is a video explaining how to link.

Cost

PSAT/NMSQT will cost $18, and registration will be at Centennial in the beginning of September.

​

Fee waivers are available for students who have qualified for free and reduced lunch.

Find test prep help from the ACT Academy.  ACT Academy is a FREE online learning tool and test practice program designed to help students master the skills they need to improve their ACT scores and succeed in college and career.

Cost

ACT without writing section: $60.00

ACT with writing section: $85

Fee waivers are available for students who have qualified for free and reduced lunch, but this does not cover late fees.
